I saw this exhibition in LA. It was called Skin and Bones: fashion in architecture. I am posting it b/c it reminded me of the reading which discussed fashion as a prime example of our commodifaction for consumption.
You can access it by searching for MOCA and skin and bones (Musueum of Contemporary Arts).
Is this a direct correlation to the commodification of architecture? The superficiality of the practice? Will architectural styles become as quickly dated as fashion? Will it reach the point were we can dress and undress our buildings? Quickly change its style to whatever is in fashion? (like the cellphone covers...)
